Should Businesses Buy HDTV Capable Projectors?

If a company is looking into purchasing a new projector for their conference room, is it worth it for them to purchase one of the newer HDTV capable projectors? I realize that it may not be necessary for a company to be able to project with such clarity, but is this the way that technology is headed? Will there be other pieces of equipment or software that interface with these audio visual projectors that make these more of a necessity instead of a luxury? Do these high-tech projectors have any other qualities that make them more beneficial than some of the other models?
