The Battle of Waterloo Decorative Chess Set

Another one of the master pieces at Studio Anne Carlton is the battle of Waterloo decorative chess set. Most of us know that the battle took place in 1815 between Napoleon Bonaparte and Arthur wellesly. The kings are depicted as the same in the chess set while the queens are their respective wives that is Josephine Marie Rose and Catherine Pakenham. The bishop of the French side is Marshall Micheal ney and the bishop on the English side is Gebhard Von Blucher. Such detail has been given to this chess set that it has become fairly popular worldwide and is winning much acclaim for the remarkable intricacy. All these pieces are manufactured by hand and are made from the castings of old soldiers.
