Long Arm Quilting: Incredible Information

Quilting basically refers to a stitch that binds 3 pieces of cloth to form a single unit of fabric. A quilt contains a top cover fabric, filler or insulating material and a backing fabric all knitted together. Hand weaving, sewing machines longarm quilt machines are most commonly used to form quilt fabrics.

A quilter holds the fabric with a quilting frame and drifts the needle and thread through the layers. Sewing machines are used to pin or tack stitch the fabric material temporarily held till the quilt is completely formed. With the advent of longarm quilt machine, quilting became easier and faster when compared hand quilting. My next post will be about, long arm quilting.
