Uses for Leather

When I think of leather, I think of full-length coats and leather jackets. However, there are many uses for leather. It has been one of the materials that has been used for centuries. My aunt had a full grain leather sofa when I was young. Children were not to be on it as it would absorb stains. Anyhow, leather can be used for gloves, boots, belts, furniture, luggage, handbags, saddles, saddle bags, basketballs, shoes, footballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, golf bags, gun sleeves or carriers, bracelets and necklaces. Even the mail bags that our letter carriers use are made from leather. I am sure there are many other uses that I didn’t think to list.
