Gaining perspective in property investing

When I was about 23 years old I had this grand dream to own a hotel. It all started when I was asked to do a report in one of my college courses in the hospitality business. My research had me excited about owning a hotel and everyone around me told me that I was just dreaming. They couldn’t see what I saw however so I didn’t listen to their negative rants. I realized I would have to build up the money and learned about real-estate. I took the money I’d saved up for 5 years and parlayed it into property investing where I earned enough money to trade up to a bigger property. I did this until I had enough money in profits over the next 3 years to actually purchase my hotel. Nothing feels so wonderful as accomplishing your dream and goal after 8 years!
