Decorating the house with fairy lights

I had an argument with my husband about decorating the house with fairy lights for christmas. I’m personally not too afay with haviong hundreds of lights strung up all around the house covering every inch with twinkeling lights would npot only be tiresome but would be just as much of a mission to take done afterwards. We found a single fairy light in a lighting shop not too long ago and I think that the idea stuck in his head from back then already. It seems there was no changing his mind about it, so I told him I would help him out them up but he would need to take it down himself.
