I bought an old Ford truck a few years ago that I had to have towed to my house.  I found it for sale in the newspaper and travelled aver five hundred miles to see it.  It was parked in an old barn and wouldn’t even think about starting.  I only had to pay $300 for this 1946 beauty.  I have done a fabulous job if I do say so myself and am almost ready for a lengthy road trip.  I want to install one of those train horns that I have seen advertised, but my wife is making e check the laws first.  She is no fun at all.

The good things about spending your vacation in a small mountain village are the peace and friendly people.  The downside is that you need to be creative if you need something from civilization.  I found out just how creative folks can get when my husband and I were staying in the mountains and our car broke down.  The local mechanic said it would need a very specific electrical part, but didn’t seem concerned that none could be found for over a hundred miles.  He pulled out a laptop and ordered Automotive Electrical Supplies in about two minutes.  By the time we left our car was repaired and we had a new respect for our mountain-dwelling friends.

I have achieved a lot of things in my life so far. About a week ago, some of my colleagues and I decided to get together for a round of golf, or some other kind of manly thing to do on a Saturday.  One of the guys said that there is a huge Car Auction going on at the park on the other side of town, and we should go check it out.  It was amazing.  I got to sit in an old Model T, a 69 Jaguar, several old mustangs and the sweetest Camaro I have ever seen.  My favorite though was this old Shelby that was refinished to look like a British flag.
