Water Fountains as art work

Water fountains are a wonderful human invention. I’m not just talking about the practical water fountains such as Drinking Water Fountains found in many a primary school and dentist reception area. I’m talking about the magnificently sculpted cacading fountains that provide the central feature of Piazzas and city squares in many big cities of the world. Rome is of course famed for it’s water fountains, as we all know how the ancient romans felt about water. They believed it contained magical prperties and indeed many Gods were thought to reside in Springs, wells and rivers. In many ways they were right. Water is very healing.
