Proper Lab Procedures are Important

It is really fun to do experiments in the lab, that’s for sure.  But without following safety procedures things can go awry quickly.  It is important to dress properly.  Wear clothing that is simple and wear a lab gown and eye protection.  Never throw things down the drain.  Take the time to learn about proper disposable.  Chemicals can be very reactive and the simple act of pouring something down the drain could be catastrophic.  Be sure to make use of fume hoods so that any odors and vapors will be drawn away from the work area, insuring that you will not breathe in anything harmful.
