You have just found out that your employer is downsizing and offering you voluntary early retirement programs. Some may resent this offer while others may view this as an easy way into a new career. Being sick of your job and counting the days to retirement may be a welcome relief when voluntary early retirement is offered. When considering retirement you will need t ask yourself where do you want to go and what do you want to do? Traveling, returning to school or sharpening your skills for a new career are possibilities worth looking into. Perhaps you are experienced in management and can work as a freelance business consultant. Good consultants are paid top dollar and you can set your own hours. In addition, voluntary early retirement will also include realistically assessing your financial situation. Figuring out how much income you will need to live a comfortable lifestyle while in voluntary early retirement will encourage a positive start while looking for a second career.

Factors To Consider With Voluntary Early Retirement

I do not need you to be my therapist!
October 30th, 2008 — Miscellaneous
I can respect your need for some personal time but just give people some notice. You cannot just fall off the face of the earth without letting someone know. I do not need you to be my therapist! I can get over a break up on my own. I just want to be able to spend some time with you being friends. It cannot be that hard to grab a bite to eat or catch a movie together. We can spend time together without delving into major life problems. Things in our friendship do not have to be so complicated.
Don’t Want Old-Fashioned Hearing Aids
October 30th, 2008 — Health
I have developed a hearing problem over the years. I have stayed away from going to the doctor to talk about this hearing problem. I want to do something to finally be able to hear clearly, but I do not want one of the old-fashioned looking hearing aids.
I have looked around at the different types of aids when I found out that I was going to need one. I was amazed that I would be able to choose discrete aids that would help me hear but no one would know that I had one in.
This is an option that made me feel good I knew that I had the option around me that will allow me to finally be able to hear again.
Plastic CD Cases
October 30th, 2008 — Technology
The last CD that I made was packaged at a shop in town. There was not a whole lot of options available to me to package, so I chose the regular plastic CD packaging. It looked professional, and it was very sturdy, but I had to admit that I felt like it looked similar to a lot of other albums I had seen. I do not mind blending in a bit with the crowd, but my artwork was not set up in such a way that it stood out at all. On the next album, I will make sure to change that.
Brochure Printing Service Near My Place
October 29th, 2008 — Business
There is a new company in the uptown area that is involved in making banners and brochures. I think it is a great thing to know from my standpoint because I always have something to print for my artwork projects. I’m involved in the production, in case you didn’t know, of Marvel comics. It took me some time to have my stuff printed before because there used to be only one company in town that offers brochure printing service. And that printing company is located way far from my place. Thing is, I would need to wait and ask Dad to drive me there because I’m still a minor.
Best Way To Prepare As An Actor
October 29th, 2008 — Miscellaneous
There are many different ways to improve your abilities as an actor. One is to practice. By practicing different features you will become more proficient at doing them. Practicing is a great way to improve, and so is attending acting schools.
With acting schools, you can carefully make sure that you know the best way to become the actor that you are meant to be. That is why you want to consider going to a school.
The only way to improve is to learn how to improve. You need to learn how to take the skills you have and tune them to give you the advantage at each of your auditions.
Wizard of Oz and a Kansas Vacation
October 29th, 2008 — Autos
Dorthy, we are not in Kansas any more. Kansas doesn’t have a yellow brick road, and does your wife think that the Kansas tourism ideas you have suggested are about as romantic as traveling with a scarecrow? Then consider a trip to europe!
Three of the World’s Most Romantic European Holiday DestinationsEurope is not just the go-to place if you want to explore culture and art – many of the cities here are famous for being the dream destination for lovers. The architecture, the ambience, the language, the food, the music, the culture and even the little nooks and crannies here can present limitless possibilities for romance and love. Here are some of the best picks for a romantic European holiday destination:ParisIt’s probably no surprise that the City of Lights is the very first holiday destination mentioned here. Paris is the city of art, culture and romance. For some reason, the way the city has been designed to look makes you feel that it’s Valentine’s Day everyday. Instead of hurrying up from one destination to the next, try to give way a little to your lazy side. Spend a day in one of the city’s lovely parks, take a stroll in Montmartre or walk the streets in the St. Germain des Pres. Don’t forget the Latin Quarter and the Jardin des Plantes and the Jardin du Luxembourg. Or you could take your place in one of the many cafes that line Rue de Buci. You could spend hours and hours on end here seated across the table talking. Of course, the Eiffel Tower is unforgettable at sunset and well into the hours of the night when darkness hangs over the lights of Paris.Just a warning, though: like love, Paris can be overwhelming for the overly enthusiastic and over-indulgent. Try to keep the romance down a notch and you’ll both be able to explore the city and get to know each other better.VeniceAs one of the most romantic cities in the world, the city of Venice offers you one of those few opportunities to explore its major attractions from a vantage point that showcases it best: the water. Instead of taking a walk during your first day, go and hire a gondola so you and your significant other can glide across the water in relative peace. If the gondola isn’t an option (during certain times of the year, the waterways can get congested with them), try the vaporetto. It’s a small boat that is capable of transporting groups of people across and along the water. The ride, while public, can be very romantic, as long as you choose your route well. Get on the ground at certain stops for a sip of cappuccino or for lunch. Go ahead and wander – Venice is supposed to be explored that way and it can be particularly romantic. At sundown, when it’s time for dinner, make sure you head to the Rialto, where some of the city’s best restaurants are located.RomeOne of the most romantic Hollywood movies was inspired by this city (Roman Holiday starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn), so there really is no reason why you shouldn’t find your own romantic Roman holiday here. Rome is a city built for lovers – the tables at its cafes are designed for intimate exchanges, its wines are heady and the market is alive with blooms. You could even make a wish and hope for it to come true with a simple toss of a coin. And yes, you could pledge forever (or hope for it) with the Bocca dela Verita or Mouth of Truth. When in Rome and looking for romance, don’t go for the obvious. Seek out the city as you would a mystery and since there are two of you, who knows what sorts of discoveries you will be able to find? This favorite European holiday destination has plenty to offer and won’t run out of anything soon.
Coordinate Your Wedding and Reception Themes with Winter Wedding Favors
October 29th, 2008 — Miscellaneous
I have attended a number of weddings - and receptions - where there was a decided lack of coordination in terms of theme, decor and table favors.
In trying to solve this problem, I came up with a unique idea. Just coordinate your wedding AND reception themes with winter wedding favors!
Really, it is just that simple. Your colors are, let us say, white, blue and silver - elegant and simple. You choose a snowflake design. That will be reflected in the table favors. Your colors will be reflected in the flowers, both at the wedding and the reception, as well as the bridesmaid’s dresses and the groomsmen’s tuxedos.
Clean, simple and elegant - and your wedding memories will be lovely.
How I came to change the litter for my cat.
October 29th, 2008 — Health
The other day I was changing out my cat’s litter box and realized how horrible it truly smelled. I had always bought the cheapest cat litter and thought I was being thrifty;however the smell was horrible and I knew I had to make a change. I went to the local pet store and started looking at the different types of litter and what they contained. They all looked pretty much the same so I asked an employee what she used for her cat. After listening to what she had to say I quickly determined what type of litter I was going to use from now on.
The best work out
October 29th, 2008 — Health
I just joined the gym the other day, and I had one of the trainers on staff take me around to all the machines, and show me a custom work out that will get me tone and make my muscles a little bigger. I just want to build muscle up enough so that it is noticeable, but not so big that I look funny. Most guys look good with a little bit of muscle, but the guys who are body builder size just look funny and out of proportion. It would probably take all day every day to maintain it, too.
